Thanks for Our Lowell Memories

Sung to the tune “Thanks for the Memories”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for those memories

Of shield and scroll

Big sisters and big bros

For Rot-C and Girls Drill Team

And the clubs we use to know

How memorable they were

Thanks for those memories

Of the box that was a bitch

Open Campus, what a switch

When "The Lowell" became "The Lowest"

For an April's Fool’s pitch

How memorable it was

We had teachers who were great and memorable

And teachers not so great and unmentionable

I'm sure they were all quite capable

They taught us well

Can't you tell?

Well thanks for those memories

Of Fitzpatrick and Mar

And those simulator cars

For sports practice after school

Which helped our teams go far

How memorable it was

Thanks for those memories

For the athletes that we knew

Yes there were a few

Varsity, tennis and powder puff too

[Mike spoken] hey Glenn, I was on that team

[Glenn spoken] powder puff right?

[Mike spoken] yeah, I was their coach

And, how memorable it was

Yes, thanks for those memories

Of carnations red and green

And colors in between

The senior show

The carnival

And the movie seldom seen

[Glenn spoken] Until now….

How memorable they were

Well, many a nights did we study

And many a nights that we played

Oh well it was life in the seventies

We did have fun

For that three year run

So thanks for those memories

For events like today

Making us want to stay

To go on reminiscing

Passing the hours away

We thank you

Yes, we thank you

[Both] so much.
